Hooray for being in business!
It's been such a busy week of collaborations, sketches, study and planning so finally a chance to update and say a much needed thank you.
Dylan Hodgon from D&D Studios has done an incredibly beautiful job of translating my rough sketches and random thoughts into an oh-so-fabulous business card that I can't wait to hand out everywhere.

Personal Style Session
Had lots of fun today doing a personal style session, channelling Sandra Bullock in the Blind Side. This season it's about the staple pieces: a fabulous black pencil skirt, a cropped blazer, a floaty cardigan in a neutral colour and a beautiful classic dress that can take you from day to night.
What looks are you loving this season?

The Night of Nights
Ohh I love the Oscars! It's one of the few times a year that the stars pull out all the stops, donning their haute couture dresses, sparkling jewels and recruiting the top stylists in the business for the Academy's night of nights. Absolutely adoring the shimmery silvers, pretty pastels and soft natural hues. Kudos to the ladies who braved a bold print and rocked it!
These women were my favourite stand outs, and nominated or not they were all winners in these gorgeous gowns.

Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity!
I like to think that there are special moments in your life that stay with you forever.
On my first trip away as a grown up uni student I went to Melbourne on a fashion tour. A girl changed my life by asking if I wanted to see Wicked. I fell in love with the music, the costumes, the story, the beauty of it all.
1 year later I insisted my friend and I follow the show to Sydney.
I fell in love all over again, and so did she. Next thing we knew we were in a tattoo shop with a German man who was under some sort of influence holding a tattoo gun and I was being charged $120 for the smallest tattoo in Sydney.
I don't regret it all.
There's just something about those moments in life that inspire your heart that deserve to be commemorated.
As someone told me lately:"Everyone deserves the chance to fly!"And if I'm flying soloAt least I'm flying freeTo those who'd ground meTake a message back from meTell them how I amDefying gravityI'm flying highDefying gravity

Mylookbook Photoshoot
"Backstage" at the Mylookbook Summer Goddess cover shoot. Product styling on the edge of a sand dune. Oh the amount of times we had to dive and save Estee Lauder lippy and Body Shop moisturiser from falling down the wall of sand. It was deceptively high.
Fashion is all glamour.
Don't be fooled by the professional photographer pose below, less than a minute later was the mad dash to save our beautiful products as they got swept away by waves. Which is why you can barely see the item being photographed, we learnt the hard way to use one product at a time.
Perhaps you can see why in the last picture? Sneaky waves!
Playing dress-ups at Barkins
Oh such fun on an internship day. Adoring the tough love look of lace dress and leather gloves, and the beautiful cobalt blue!
Channelling a bit of Pretty Woman!
Who is your style icon of the moment?
Westfield
A mannequin I styled that was used for a Westfield Chermside Personal Styling promotion shoot in 2008.

A little shoot I did with the lovely Krista Eppelstun-editor of Mylookbook and shoe blogger for Adore Midori's summer fashion campaign.
